    We hired the Rutland Hotel bar area for a family party and what a good choice it was. The bar area was great, there’s a small room with a dance floor and a conservatory area for food. The buffet was much better than I expected and everyone commented that the food was just right for a party. The bar staff coped well with my noisy family and we had such a good time. We would definitely book a family party here again.

    ” I got married on the 16th June 2018 and it was perfect!

    Hats off to the chef behind the scenes, to Vaughn for being so professional, organised and making the day go so smoothly. To the lady on reception who put up with so much whilst trying to get the rooms ready. To Faye for amazing service, and my all time favourite two, which is why I chose to get married here, Callum and Alex working on the bar.

    These two members of staff every single time I have visited have being so perfect and friendly in every way. They are an absolute pleasure to be around and I am so glad I got to share my day with them as i was hoping too. They are a credit to the Rutland and so pleasant. You ought to be so proud to have them as your members of staff, I could go on but wont bore you. Also hats off to Sophie who newly took over Verity but she was so pleasant and couldn’t do enough. “

    ” The Rutland staff were amazing from day one.

    They promised my daughter and her husband to be a perfect day, they fulfilled their promise and more… The day passed without us having to do anything apart from enjoy ourselves.

    We really had the easiest laid back fun day thanks to Andy and all the Rutland staff.

    We will be visiting the Rutland for dinner in the future ( or even breakfast ) as we now feel part of the Rutland family.

    P.s. The superb disco needs a mention too! “

ELEGANT RECEPTIONS

THE DOVEDALE & EDALE SUITES

Perfect on their own or together to create a space appropriate for larger gatherings our Dovedale and Edale suites are sumptuous and elegant. Dovedale can accommodate 70 guests in comfort for a wedding breakfast whilst Edale can host 30.

Combined together the rooms will allow a maximum of 120 guests for a spectacular evening reception. They are wonderful for wedding ceremonies or celebrations. Our room hire rate for civil ceremonies in The Dovedale Suite is £250 or £200 for our Edale suite.

THE PANEL SUITE

This room offers a lovely setting for a more intimate wedding. It can accommodate 12 guests for a private and sophisticated wedding breakfast.

THE RUTLAND RESTAURANT

A truly wonderful place for a more informal wedding breakfast our restaurant overlooks the picturesque gardens. 80 guests can be comfortably hosted in our restaurant and bar with this increasing to a maximum of 150 for an evening reception.

CIVIL CEREMONIES

We hold a full civil licence and both our Dovedale and Edale suites are available for civil wedding and civil partnership ceremonies. We’d love you to make yourself at home and enjoy your whole day with us. If you wish to get married at The Rutland Hotel you will need to contact Sheffield Registry Office on 0114 2039423. We are unable to do this for you.
